As an orphan born in Zimbabwe, she met Günter Pauli at the age of 12, who reveals to her the possibilities for eating thanks to the rapid growth of mushrooms. She contributes to the development of mushroom cultivation using coffee waste. Today she travels throughout the world to set up mushroom farms based on the technique that she invented.
